Preschool Curriculum
Our preschool curriculum is designed to help young children grow academically, spiritually, socially, emotionally, and physically during these important early years. We combine purposeful instruction with play, exploration, and a caring Christ-centered environment so children can learn at their own pace and build a strong foundation for what comes next.
In preschool, children learn best in an environment that is structured, nurturing, and full of opportunities to explore. Our classrooms are designed to support both guided learning and discovery through age-appropriate routines, hands-on experiences, and meaningful interaction.
We believe play is an important part of early childhood development. Our program gives children opportunities to explore, imagine, create, and grow through interactive play and hands-on activities.
Children learn through a balance of whole group instruction, small group instruction, and classroom centers, helping teachers meet students where they are while encouraging growth.
Every child develops differently. Our staff differentiates learning so each child is supported in a way that helps set them up for success.
We foster a Christ-centered educational environment where children are given high-quality Christian education in a setting that values both learning and development. Our curriculum places a solid emphasis on academic skills while also teaching biblical truths and how they apply to everyday living. We also believe these early years should include rich opportunities for spiritual, social, emotional, and physical growth.
Faith is part of the preschool experience from the beginning, helping children learn about God’s love in ways that are age-appropriate and meaningful.
Our program is designed to support children academically, spiritually, socially, emotionally, and physically during these developmental years.
We want children to observe the miracle of God’s world through learning, play, and exploration in the classroom and beyond.
Our preschool curriculum includes a mix of routines, guided learning, and hands-on experiences that help children grow in both confidence and readiness. These classroom experiences are designed to build foundational skills while keeping learning joyful and age-appropriate.
Children gather for shared learning, routines, songs, stories, discussion, and classroom community.
Classroom centers give children opportunities to explore, create, and learn through guided choice and hands-on discovery.
Play-based learning helps children build communication, curiosity, imagination, and social development.
Children have time for movement, exploration, and active play as part of a healthy preschool rhythm.
We help children grow in independence through everyday routines and age-appropriate responsibility.
Themes help connect learning across activities so children can explore ideas in ways that feel engaging and memorable.
All preschool classes receive weekly chapel lessons, helping children grow in faith through worship and age-appropriate biblical teaching. VPK students also receive weekly chapel lessons with the Pastor.
All classes receive weekly lessons in music, chapel, and library as part of the regular preschool experience.
VPK students explore Christian character traits through daily Bible lessons, helping connect faith formation to everyday life.
Our preschool curriculum includes regular opportunities for children to learn about God, worship together, and enjoy enrichment experiences that support early development. These moments help create a preschool environment that feels joyful, purposeful, and distinctly Christ-centered.
Our youngest learners are introduced to classroom routines, play, language development, movement, and early exploration in a caring environment designed for discovery and growth. Full-time care is available for children ages 18 months through five years old.
As children grow, they continue building readiness through play, centers, group instruction, self-help skills, and thematic learning. Our part-time preschool option is available for children who are 3 years old by September 1 and fully potty trained.
Our VPK program helps prepare students for kindergarten through play, whole group instruction, and small group instruction. Teachers differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students, and part-time VPK students can also participate in enrichment classes. Students must be 4 years old by September 1.
We also offer VPK enrichment opportunities through approved outside vendors and certified teachers. These classes give students additional ways to learn, move, and create during the week.
Our preschool curriculum is designed to do more than fill the day. It helps children build readiness for kindergarten through routine, language growth, early learning, social development, independence, and Christ-centered care. In VPK especially, we focus on preparing students for kindergarten while still honoring the importance of play during these early years.
Children learn how to participate in classroom structure, transitions, and daily expectations.
Students practice sharing, listening, participating, and learning with others in a supportive setting.
Children build the early skills and habits that support future success in school.
Self-help skills and differentiated instruction help children grow in confidence as learners.
